Hi folks! It's been a long time since I noticed that Windows isn't able to rename all files according to my criteria. I wouldn't download anyones' confusing custom solution. Hence I was working for a couple months in my simple application called FixFileNames.
FixFileNames is written in C# 2.0 language, which is an effort for encouraging new software developers.
The goal here is that FixFileNames makes us able to rename files in your computer, according to our taste!
FixFileNames features are:
- remove trailing black spaces (blank spaces in the beginning or the end of the file name);
- remove brackets from the file name;
- replace a single word or entire blocks of text to another text;
- change text blocks to Proper Case;
- put leading zeros if the file name begins with a number below 10;
- include in the beginning of the name the word or blocks of text you want;
- change file type extension to lower case;
- rename just file name which matches a specific file extension
